Possible Solutions:

a. Confirm that the speaker is plugged into the control board. Confirm

that the data cable is plugged in all the way.

b. The control board may be bad. Return for service.

Note: The game horn volume is preset at the factory and cannot be

adjusted.

Note: Never apply lubricants of any kind onto the digit bearings.

The digits consist of seven individual segments that are basically small

motors. The motors have “on” and “off” coils that receive current (data)

from the control board via the digit enable cable. The data is applied to

each digit and the digit enable cable selects which digit will respond to the

“data”, see Fig. 39 above.

Possible Solutions:

a. Check electrical power being supplied to the scoreboard, see page 7-9.

b. Recheck all connections on the digit enable cable and connections on

the control board.

c. Check that the digit enable cable connector on the control board does

not have any bent pins.

d. Check the control board, see page 5-1, Step 2.

e. Scoreboard may be locked. Reset the board by removing electrical power

for ten seconds and then reapply power, see page 7-9.

All digits are inoperative.
