The two types of sounds (audio and sports tunes) are sent through the
switch to the amplifier and directed to the speaker, see Fig. 38 below.

Explanations:
a. The data cable may be bad, see page 7-10.
b. The operator’s console may be bad, see page 7-7.
c. The microphone itself may be bad, return for service.
d. The control board may be bad, see page 5-1, step 2.
Possible Solutions:
a. The ON/OFF slide switch located on the control board may be in the
“OFF” position. Place it in the “ON” position.
b. The speaker may be faulty. Return it for service.
c. The control board may be faulty. Return it for service.
Possible Solutions:
a. Switch #5 on #2860 control boards or switch #7 on #4290 control
boards are located on the selector switch on the appropriate control board.
These can be set to allow or disallow the sports tunes. To enable the sports
tunes, set the appropriate last switch (#5 or #7) to the “closed” position.
Note: First remove or disconnect power, change the switch setting
and then reapply power. See Fig. 31 or 32, page 5-3 and the draw-
ing on page 5-4.
b. If Selector Switch #5 or #7 is set correctly and the sports tunes do not
operate, the control board may be bad. Return the control board for
service.
