6 Setup

6.1 General

The numbers in brackets refer to the following illustrations.

On the electronics module you will ﬁnd the following indicating

and adjustment elements:

l Potentiometer for switching point adaptation (1)

l DIL switch for mode adjustme nt - min./max.(2)

l Signal lamp (5)

Note:

As a rule, always set the mode with mode switch (2) before

starting the setup of OPTISWITCH 3100 C. If the instrument is

used in conjunction with a signal conditioning instrument ,

always set the mode switch (2) on OPTISWITCH 3100 C to

max. mode.

The mode is selected on the signal conditioning instrument

with the mode switch.

The switching output will change if you set one of the two mode

switches afterwards . This could possibly trigger other con-

nected instruments or devices.
